Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Lauvince has become a cultural force in Caribbean cinema, widely recognized as the Ambassador of Haitian Cinema for his relentless advocacy of authentic Haitian storytelling on the global stage.
Lauvince’s diverse portfolio spans music videos, documentaries, narrative features, and television series. His early independent projects: Message Sent, Loyal-T, and Married Men, earned accolades for best writing, directing, and producing, helping cement his reputation as a dynamic, multi talented creator.In 2025, Lauvince made history when his political documentary July 7: Who Killed the President of Haiti? became the first Haitian film to reach the U.S. box office. The film explores the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse and has received international acclaim for its fearless storytelling, emotional depth, and cultural urgency.
